fashion + interiors
The first 8-week project for Interior Design Studio II – Detailing and Fabrication entailed selecting a fashion designer and creating a workspace and studio for him/her based off of three influential pieces of their work. Students visited, studied, and measured a section of Rockwell Hall, also known as the Kent State Fashion School, and redesigned the space based off of their findings on the selected designer. The project began with a research phase and creating a booklet, as well as creating a surface wall that would later be implemented into the site.
